Open Enrollment Do’s & Don’ts for people over 65
October 15 – December 7
Don’t do anything if you have Medicare Parts A&B. This Original Medicare automatically renews.

Do sign up for Medicare Part B if you haven’t done so. Take action before December 7th. If you’re not getting health insurance from an employer and you’re over 65, you could be penalized for not having Part B.
Do check out Part D (Prescription Coverage) for 2022 plans and prices. They change every year. If you never signed up for Part D, do it before December 7th. There are lifelong penalties for not having Part D.
Do make sure you are happy with your Advantage plan and that your health care providers are still taking it. If not, you can change your Advantage plan for another one before December 7th. You can change from Advantage to a Medicare Supplement whenever you wish. You can change Supplement plans whenever you wish. We help with that. Call us at 847-362-8888.
